6.2. Activity Description

6.2.1 Equipment

 Equipment and Raw Materials

The smelter is located on a 68,231-hectare site. Nickel ore is processed into pig iron (NPI) using the Blast Furnace method, with a production capacity of 144,000 tons of NPI per year.

The main components of the smelter include the blast furnace, sintering area, power plant, stockpile yard, other facilities, office area, and environmental engineering facilities. Facilities and infrastructure are presented in Table 6.1.
